This is where I take a deep sigh and try and move my mind into overdrive to try and embrace a new social strategy that will somehow propel my web sites, most of which deal with Trade Show Displays, higher up in the natural rankings. Where can I find a good place to start? Well duh? Let me try Google and see what works, so I type in the words linkedin and back links, and third on the natural list was a blog posting on the Big Oak blog.
It did not take long to see that there was some definite advantages to signing up and listing my two web sites plus my web blog on the LinkedIn site. Then to make sure I was getting the links correct, I went down the list and saw a title that said; Why you should optimize your LinkedIn profile links? Hey, that was good enough for me and went to WIEP.NET Connection Marketing to their August 24th post gave me all the necessary information to complete the job on my own.
Now this is where I need to stop and plot out linking my web sites and blog back to the LindedIn site as well. It also appears that you should also have all of your employees do the same which is how step by step you slowly build up a few very credible links for Google to see.
One last comment; I saw mention of another site that might give me one additional quality backlink which is worth checking out based on the reputation of the people that mentioned it. Its called LookupPage and its for personal branding online. Im going there next after I check out what groups in LinkedIn can offer me.
